Reeves Rangers Ready To Roar For The Lions!

Local football club take on team from Leicestershire in national cup competition

Having supported their main annual fund raising event for the past few years (The May Fayre), Reeves Rangers FC already has a close relationship with local charity, The Wokingham Lions.

And that partnership is now set to move to another level, as local football club Reeves Rangers participates in a UK wide competition organised by the National Lions organisation. The event is designed to unite youngsters from all over the country and provides a wonderful opportunity for a team to play against opponents and in towns that they may never have even heard of, let alone been to before!

On February 24th, Reeves Rangers U14s progressed into the second round of the Lions National Football Youth Cup Competition with a comprehensive 4-0 win over visitors Merley Allendale Youth from Dorset. Read the press coverage.

Equally as enthusiastic is local Lions representative Stephanie Fay who has master minded Reeves involvement in the competition. Stephanie commented, “We’re delighted to see the boys from Reeves doing the town of Wokingham so proud. Through our youth programmes, we are dedicated to providing challenges and opportunities for youngsters that they would not otherwise enjoy and this football competition is a great example of just that.”
